CHRISTMAS is here...

I wanted to write this as my Facebook status then thought to myself.. no, its only October and people will think you are weird..
Today I went to the shops and i found myself surrounded by Christmas decorations... And boy was I excited!!!
I'm contemplating doing a few DIY decorations and maybe use the traditional Christmas colours green and red this Christmas... Also because it is Alaskas first Christmas I will some how have to teach her the true meaning of Christmas... Never to young to learn I guess....
Below are some pictures of ideas I'm wanting to do. I really like the baby sock calender il use that as bunting... And also the branch as well. Need to get inventive.

The END of MATERNITY!!

In Two days Alaska will be eight Months.... and in two more months i will be finishing up my Maternity leave which ultimately means sending Alaska to day care.... I have No day cares in mind and NO desire to even sending her....
I see so many mothers who stay home with their children and it works really well for them and also the oppisite of mothers who work and send their kids to daycare.
My thoughts on daycare stop at that really and havnt made up my mind about anything! HELP!

Tonight i was holding Alaska putting her to sleep and i realized i hadn't really made her laugh today so i looked at her while she was falling asleep and went BOO! and kept doing it until she was in fits of laughter haha i thought it was the funniest thing... Tev was already asleep and he woke up because of the noise so I whispered to Alaska that she has to laugh softly because we were waking up her dad.. Tev over heard us and turned over and said "thats ok, as long as she's happy"

Earlier in the evening we were at my parents and i was having a conversation with Tev
me: (looking at Tev holding Alaska) My Mum said that Alaska has a body like mine when i was a baby
Tev: But she is skinny...

haha my Husband would never say i was over weight but that just confirms that i am far from skinny!

Love my girl

Well a lot has happened since the last time I wrote.... So I will briefly summerise is point form...
- on the 25th aug -10th Sept Alaska and I went to Hawaii for danicas wedding it was beautiful we loved it. 10 hr flight their Alaska was very upset and settled whichmade me cry on the flight cause ladies were complaining about the noise. She was such a good girl and i enjoyed every minute spent with her. We missed fathers day so we skyped with her dad.and bought him HEAPs of presents...
-15th Sept we went to nz .. long story short I came home early were meant to spend 2 weeks but I cried every night so Tev changed our flights to come back 5 days later. Lol Alaska loved spending time with her grandparents .. was nice yonder them it would have been much better if Tev had come with us. We then went to Auckland spent time with Christina and her kids papa and aunty Pepe was so awsome. Hen spent time with lani aunty rossana Peggy and Chris. We had a lovely time with them we were very spoilt.
-Alaska had her 6 month shots even though she is nearly 8 months she cried in these ones but she was still a brave girl..

To date Alaska has been sick and really tired she maybe teething again... She fell off the.bed today when I was making her a bottle but Tev was with her and he said he fell asleep lol. I love my life my husband and my little girl make me so very happy....

Poem for Alaska

Today we had a great day catching up on sleep and also reading in bed.. I have many of the "little golden books" so we selected "The little mermaid" then tonight we had a family dinner out at Rashays in Campbelltown Alaska slept most of the time so Tev and I just sat and spoke about our day.. my Two questions I always ask him every day are.
1.how was work?
2.how was the gym?....
And tevs to me..
1.what time did you both wake up.. Haha I always change it by an hour or two so it makes me sound not lazy but he really doesn't mind..
Now skipping right along..
It amazes me how much I miss Alaska when i put her to bed.. during the day sometimes i like her to just sit by herself so i can clean or just so she has some time apart from me... But at nights lately i have been missing her... She is such a happy baby always smiling and laughing tevi says she is really showing her character and developing her own features..

I quickly put my thoughts into a poem which probably doesn't make sense but I'm no professional so anything goes I say...

To sleep you go just one more kiss
To sleep you go it late night bliss
To sleep we miss your face awake
To sleep we miss your grace may make
To sleep we love your giggle so great
To sleep we love you till morning break
When Sun comes up a lot has changed
When Sun comes up we start again..

Picture was taken today when i sat her on the chair by herself.. the look of "why??"

Snow white and the Huntsman

So the first book I have read to Alaska was "Snow white and the Seven Dwarfs"
And today we went with her Aunties and Uncles to watch the real life version "snow white and the huntsman"
Her first movie and she was such a good girl she was more interested in the ceiling lights when the trailors were playing but when the movie started she was amazed at how big the screen was.. It was really fun to watch her reactions....
In the loud scenes i got her out of her Bugaboo and held her just in case she started to cry i was waiting for her to jump but she just sat their I felt like i should have covered her eyes in the killing scenes but i didnt want anyone to see me covering her eyes because they may have thought "why bring her in the first place...lol

About half way through the movie she started to get hungry so i gave her a bottle and she fell asleep which lasted about a half hour then she woke up and wanted to play .. she just sat their blowing raspberries the entire time...
Such a good girl she was...

Life of an Alaskan.....

Well Well Well.... So I have officially jumped on the Blogger Bandwagon...
So just as an introduction My Name is Keri Palemani and I'm a wife to One and a Mother of One (and Hoping it STAYS that way ha ha...
My Husband and I have been married for 3 Years in August We LOVE married life and have had such a great experience thus far... Just earlier this year we welcomed our Very Beautiful first Baby girl... Alaska Keri Palemani at 7.2 pounds 51cms born at 7am 18th of Feb..
And from that moment on our life titles changed to "lives of Alaskans" haha well thats what i call it anyway.

Now to the lead up...ha ha
Being "Mormon" the expectation of having children straight after marriage is a very normal thing but for us it didn't quit go as planned... We were sealed for time and Eternity in the Sydney Australian temple for time and all eternity and shortly after we moved to Hamilton, New Zealand (home of the might ALL BLACKS)
Although at first I was VERY homesick for the first month i settled in and Loved my life in Hamilton.. Don't get me wrong I Love my family but being away for that time was such a beautiful thing ha ha..
We lived in our two bedroom home and at the time my Sister Nia was attending CCNZ so she Welcomed the idea of having her bigger Sisters move across the Tasman and Started to live with us a week after we moved... She wanted to move once we landed in the country but i told her i needed a full week by myself because we were just married.. and she understood ha ha.....

I did love Having her their made things a lot easier and I also think it helped her as well as it was her last year... Tevi and I were still in the honeymoon phase and i Hated doing things alone so we would do absolutely everything together.. NOW hmmmm its a bit different haha i still love him very much but iv finally let go and i do things with my Cousins and friends.( I think the title is Clingy Wife)  He always encouraged me that it was ok to do things without him.... ha ha that makes me sound life a weirdo!

Our life in Hamilton was Fabulous i loved my work, Tevs work Our trips to Auckland, Stops to Pokeno, trips to tolaga Bay, The Mount! and all the beautiful beaches and fishing trips NZ had to offer we did a lot in that first year also traveled twice back to Australia for short holidays and other commitments...
We decided that we would try and have a Baby but we didnt fall pregnant at all while living in Nz
in 2010 we then Moved back to Sydney and Tevi was flying in and out working in Darwin.. The Money was Great but i would go sometimes 6 weeks without seeing him.. and that really hurts the heart ha ha.. I dont think i could have ever gotten use to living like that being away from my Husband Constantly worrying if an Abo would attack him in the outback!!

So we decided to move him closer and work where we were able to be a Full time family and more importantly for me have a more hands on role in the ward with ward callings.....
I think just that decision in itself was such a blessing to us and shortly after his return we fell pregnant...
Very exciting time for us Tevi is rather larger then average but he is a real softy has such a kind heart and is a giving man So of course when he found out he cried and it was like he won the lotto haha

my pregnancy experience sucked! i really didnt like it haha just before i fell pregnant i lost 14kgs on the Dukan Diet so i wasnt to pleased that i was about to rapidly put on weight..

We were told we were having a Boy and then a girl and i was so upset ha ha sobbing like someone had died lol my fear for my girls is that she would be ugly and be hairy like me so its much more safer to have a boy. But BOY was i surprised Alaska was Beautiful when she was born i was taken back on how girly she looked!!! I never believed in LOVE AT FIRST SITE but that day i fell in love at the first glance.. it was beautiful! how can such a beautiful think be made out of coke haha (cause i always drank coke while pregnant)
I wrote a Poem a couple of weeks after she was born about how i felt at the time it made me cry haha
so here it is....

To this world to us you were, a little none less then heard
From the day you were felt, on my skin love was learned
Amazing the things you are, when no voice to hear but great to see
Beautiful is nothing when you were born, only in our hearts real words are earned
What we do before your presence, never exists is hard imagined
Only through you we see the days, the days of good the days are forward
More to be heard, more to see, more to earn, imagine and learned
Forward we look of you our darling just sleep now and wake tomorrow

And so our lives REALLY BEGAN.... Life of an Alaskan :)
